Your conversions stay on your device
The app performs conversions on your device. It does not send conversion values, favorites, history, sensor readings, device correction records, or display settings to Kanonix. It has no account system, advertising, tracking, third-party analytics, or Kanonix server connection for calculations or storage.
Local storage
The app stores favorite unit pairs, recent conversion history, your default unit pair, display preferences, and device barometer correction records locally so they remain available when you return. You can remove favorites and clear recent conversions in Saved, and reset your default pair in Settings.
Deleting the app removes its local app data from that device. Device backups and restores may include this information according to your Apple settings.
Optional sensors, camera, and microphone tools
Field Tools can use the device barometer, motion sensors, and magnetometer for local readings. Scan & Convert uses the camera for on-device printed-text recognition on supported devices. Quick Measure accepts manually entered dimensions and offers camera or LiDAR estimates on compatible devices. Camera imagery is processed on the device and is not saved or uploaded by these tools. Decibel Meter processes transient microphone samples on the device to calculate digital signal levels in dBFS; audio is not saved or uploaded by the tool. Camera, Motion, and Microphone access are optional and can be managed in system Settings; manual alternatives remain available for applicable tools.
Sensor sampling, camera sessions, and microphone sampling stop when you leave the tool or the app moves to the background. Derived readings, confirmed conversions, and device calibration records can be stored locally and explicitly shared or exported. Confirmed values you transfer to the converter can be saved in local conversion history. Device correction records can include reference identifiers, dates, readings, verification results, and user-stated uncertainty. These records are stored locally; creating a correction does not upload it to Kanonix.
Copying and sharing
When you choose Copy, the conversion is placed on the system clipboard. When you choose Share, iOS or iPadOS presents sharing options. Information you choose to share is handled by the destination app or service under its own privacy practices.
Purchases and restoring access
Standard conversions and the 4–20 mA tool remain available without a Toolkit purchase. Full Toolkit is an optional one-time in-app purchase, with no subscriptions or advertising. Apple handles purchase and payment information. The app verifies Apple transaction and original-purchase ownership information to provide or restore access; purchase and Restore Purchases require an App Store connection, and verified ownership supports offline access. Kanonix Unit Converter does not ask for payment details or receive your payment-card information. Apple handles App Store transaction processing and device services under Apple’s own privacy terms.
Support and external websites
Opening a support link takes your browser to a separate website. Website requests are covered by the Kanonix website privacy policy. The converter does not automatically attach your conversion history to support requests.
If you contact support, Kanonix receives the email address and message content you choose to send and uses that information to respond to your request. Please use non-sensitive examples when reporting a problem.
